WD Book rocks

This is my 2nd WD drive, my first was a WD Caviar Black 1TB SATA, this one is an external USB2.0 drive so I didnt expect it to be as fast. It is not bad actually, just takes a little longer to spin up. Im not sure whats the drive model inside the enclosure since I never opened it.
Pros:
  • Excellent speed for external USB 2.0 drive
  • Reliable after about a years operation.
Cons:
  • It gets warm after a while Seek noise could be quieter

Pretty quiet. Good size drive. USB 3.0 Bad Points: About 350mb of bloatware on the disk, before you even start Shell shows every finger print. Easily breakable/scratchable case as cheap plastic Off button could have been more easier to locate and use, Stable when stood, but ever so easy to knock...
Pros:
  • Good looking and sleek

it stores your stuff.

Cause it was cheap, i like that it was cheap i dislike that its so big and requires a power output this is obviously an outdated hard drive and isn't advanced as 2011 + range.

Baap of all HDDs!

First off, this is a great Hard Disc Drive. Second of all, the inbuilt WD Smartware is a backup/restore suite that, once installed, boots with your machine. Cool!

Build looks sturdy and there is sufficient space for cooling air flow. The disk powers up quickly. It comes bundled with useful security and backup software from WD. I have set the disk to power off after 20 minutes of disuse to save power and elongate its life.
