WD Book rocks
This is my 2nd WD drive, my first was a WD Caviar Black 1TB SATA, this one is an external USB2.0 drive so I didnt expect it to be as fast. It is not bad actually, just takes a little longer to spin up. Im not sure whats the drive model inside the enclosure since I never opened it.
Pros:
- Excellent speed for external USB 2.0 drive
- Reliable after about a years operation.
Cons:
- It gets warm after a while Seek noise could be quieter

DO NOT BUY!
This is not a standard USB hard drive. It has a virtual CD image that is NOT REMOVABLE. You cannot format it away, it just sits there and takes up about 600MB of your drive space. From what I've read (after purchase unfortunately), you cannot remove this drive from the enclosure and put it in a PC...

Big let down
I bought this product a couple days ago. I tried to back up files on it tonight and found the product to be in read only mode. I tried using the unlocking program with it- and it said it was for different operating system or the drive was locked. DUH! I am returning the product in the morning.

The only problems I have with this hard drive is that it's shiny exterior can be easily smudged up with your fingers. It also has no power button on it and you can't eject it from your computer. This means that it will stay on unless you physically shut down your computer and then unplug it.

External Hard Drive
This is a great product. Back up your entire computer. Lots of room for music and karaoke files. The BEST I would reccommend it to everyone so they don't lose important photos etc.

I have 4 of these, I yanked three of them out of the shells and am using them internally and the last I am using as an external. One of the best upgrades I have ever bought for my pc I got all 4 of them for $475.00 I highly recommend using this product.

if you need the space, buy buy buy.
An amazing external HDD will suit everyones need, it also comes in higher storage capacity if needed, the connection used is usb2 which is a reliable and fast method to transfer data around 20 mb/s. you pretty much only have to plug and play the device, simple.

A Great Hard Drive. Very Quiet.
I bought this hard drive to replace another from Cavalry that recently failed on me. I use it to gain a little extra storage for files I want to keep, but don't need access all the time.
Pros:
