Western Digital 3tb hd

Really good drive and really worth the buy. I would purchase this drive anytime. And the space is more than enough being a graphic designer I need the space. I use this drive as a storage drive. Hooked up to a 3.0 sata and 3.0 port in a asus 990fx motherboard.

I have to say.; I'm very impressed with this drive; the drive for 3tb is just as big as my 1tb hard drive which was cool; Once I got it working correctly it recognized right away and formatted to 2.72tb; I had to format to GPT format to get it to recognize correctly and then it noticed right away.

Wanted an audiovisual rated HDD for my new TIVO Roamio machine. Found a couple of nice YouTube videos that showed me how to swap the OEM 500 Mb drive out. Now we have gone from 75 hrs HD capability to 450 hrs. Has worked great for the 2 wks I have owned it.

Premature failure after two days

Unfortunately I had to return the product after two days, which meant I just managed to format and move my files, when write problems start to occur and the Western Digital disk check flagged too many errors to finish.

Perfect for Tivo Roamio

I have now installed three of these drives in three Tivo Roamio DVR devices and this drive works great. Buy the basic model and install this drive as a very economical choice.
