Very quick little drives

My laptop was older so it doesn't have the upgraded motherboard that can handle the faster M.2 drives but I bought two of these and put them in a striping and am very happy with them. Been running them for months now and no issues what so ever.

Great drive and easy estup

I like the idea of longer lasting SSDs so time will tell if they in fact last longer because of the newer tech.

The new WD SSDs is based on its 64-layer 3D NAND memory chips and also a Marvell controller (presumably; the 88S1074 or the 88NV1120) with some additional engineering and in-house developed firmware.

The warranty is only three years

My new(ish) HP laptop has a 1TB hard drive and it also had a 16GB M.2 Optane memory module for recovery purposes. I'm not a big fan of recovery partitions, I do a clean install from standard Windows 10 USB stick every now and then.

I bought this WD Blue 1TB SSD to replace a hard drive that I thought was the likely cause of some data corruption experienced in a desktop top-line computer. It required also buying an SATA III cable and a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter bracket to fit in the desktop bay since they are not included with the...
