Warriors Orochi 4

It's safe to say that Dynasty Warriors 9 didn't go down very well with fans for a number of reasons, but the Musou series is too strong to stay down and has bounced back with Warriors Orochi 4, bringing characters from the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors series together once more.

Developer Omega Force's hack and slash Warriors games have become a genre in themselves with a fiercely dedicated following and more spin-offs than you've had hot dinners. Versions with famous properties – including One Piece , Gundam and Dragon Quest , to name a few – have helped widen the audience...

Warriors Orochi 4 (Switch)

The Switch has seen more ‘Warriors' games based off of other franchises than the more traditional Dynasty Warriors (in fact there are none in Australia until this entry), so it's about time for one. Although this isn't your usual Dynasty Warrior entries.

Warriors Orochi 4 (Nintendo Switch) Review

Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate set a new standard for the long-running Musou series. As a sequel to one of the most packed games in Omega Force's hack and slash library, Warriors Orochi 4 would tell the audience a lot of just how much Koei Tecmo's studio was willing to go to deliver the levels produced...

170 flavors of fun - Warriors Orochi 4 review

Everyone has that one series they love that gets released seemingly annually. Whether it be Call of Duty, Madden, or even Hyperdimension Neptunia, there's always comfort in familiarity. For me, it's the Warriors series (mainly the Dynasty Warriors set of games).

Lengthy campaign and fun side story missions; New gameplay mechanics breathe life into the Warriors formula; 170 characters to choose from with unique properties

Streamlined camp elements lose a little customization from the last title; Inconsistent technical performance later in the game
