Warriors All-Stars Review – Musou Greatest Hits

Warriors All-Stars is a hodgepodge of ideas, mechanics, and even characters that struggles to straddle the line between catering to newcomers while still offering something new and rewarding for fans of the classic Musou hack-and-slash action.

Unbelievable depth on and off the battlefield, Takes important cues from both MOBA's and card-battling games, The sheer joy of seeing characters fight together Smash Bros; style

Not for newcomers to Musou-style games; Presentation hindered by same engine used by Samurai Warriors 4; Tags

Warriors All-Stars

I am grateful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Warriors All-Stars on the Playstation 4. This 19.5 gig sized video game is also available in the physical copy format (on the PS4). Hardcore gamers can also purchase Warriors All-Stars on the Personal Computer (PC).

Warriors All-Stars Review – All-Star Cast, Same Old Action

Imagine sitting in on a meeting of the team behind the Warriors franchise, throwing out ideas for its next big title. A few names are bounced around but no one's really on board, and then suddenly one person in the back says Voila!

Who's who of KT characters; Assist system/Rush Attacks; Long campaign to play through

Same basic Musou formula; Story doesn't hold water; Long campaign to play through

Warriors All-Stars (PlayStation 4) Review

Knowing that Warriors All-Stars is only really going to appeal to Warriors fans, this is definitely a let-down when it comes to being a celebration of some of the best characters and franchises Koei Tecmo has to offer.

Hey now, you're an all-star, get your game on, go play: Warriors All-Stars review

The Warriors/Musou series is like an old friend to me; I love it dearly, even though spending time with it can feel repetitive on some days. While the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors games have been criticized for being rehashes of the same storyline, I've been surprised with games like Warriors Orochi...

Wide range of different characters and playstyles; A bevy of content and information to unlock; In-game character interactions are used pretty well

No multi-player is a glaring omission; Some mechanics can get tedious pretty quickly; Would've been cool to get some more references of the represented franchises

Hey nyao, you're an All-Star

In yet another attempt to wring some more cash out of its famous Musou series (or Dynasty Warriors and its spin-offs, to you and I), Tecmo-Koei have had the bright idea of releasing a game in the Musou mould that throws together a bunch of characters from its various IPs.

Delightfully improbable use of niche characters; Musou Rush and support abilities are unbelievably good fun

Lack of game modes is a disappointment; Sits a little uncomfortably in Dynasty Warriors 9's shadow
