If you're a Warhammer 40K fan, you've dreamed of taking up a chainsword and carving Orks into bloody chunks of flesh and bone. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine plants you in the heavy boots of an Ultramarine and lets you do just that. The viscera fly in this third-person shooter/melee hybrid.

Set within the Warhammer Universe, this game is a third person action title combining elements of melee fighting and shooting in what ultimately felt like a very uninspiring game that had so much potential and unfortunately really did little for me to make me come back and play it.

Overall good one if price goes down, not worth paying a lot and even looks like I got a used one when using the code did not worked showing its already used bad from a reputed seller like WS retail will not recommend.

This game should have been one of the top 5 games to come out this year. It had almost everything right in single player and gave the player a really good feel for the 40k Universe. I gave this game a low score only due to the huge short comings in the multi-player part of the game.

Single Player campaign; Pretty compelling story that keeps you interested; Multi-Player classes are well balanced; Weapons/Armour unlocks and challenges are obtainable and give you something to play for; The customization available is great! Almost limitless possibilities.

Campaign could have been longer; If you are a fan of the 40k Universe some parts of the game (don't want to give it away and has no real bearing on the game) don't really gell at times; The big problem is the peer to peer system that THQ and Relic have chosen to use.

The game is similar to Gears of war. The gameplay is fun and story is not that exceptional. Its a one time play, didn't check its online functionality perhaps its disabled now that THQ is out of business. But worth trying for its price and good gameplay.

Space Marine is a helluva game. Let's be honest: it isn't the better game in PS3, but it'll get entertained for a long time. I just picked it up b'coz it went free for PS plus users and, so far, I very satisfied. If you played the RTS games on PC, you should be familiar with the story.

I'd been waiting for this game since I saw the pre alpha video gameplay that came out in like 06 and this game did not disappoint. Gameplay never gets repetitive because it is so fun.

This hack-'n-slash shooter set in the dystopic Warhammer universe is a slick, action-packed blend of genres.
