Vivo Y20s review

The Vivo Y20s delivers big on battery, while simple software makes the most of some admittedly basic internal specs. Other budget phones offer fast chips and better displays, but the Y20s runs well and keeps on running.

Outstanding battery life; Simple software; Attractive design;

720p, 60Hz display; Basic camera; Micro-USB;

First non Samsung for years

It was going to cost me more to fix my S9 than the cost of this phone. Finding a case was impossible so I modified an oppo case that was the perfect size. Cut outs for the camera, finger print and headphone jack was required. Still holds the phone perfect. It's light, the battery is great, the screen warmth needed adjusting to imitate what I was accustomed to with the S9. It operates at a speed slightly less than the S9 but not slow by any means. The camera is also well behind the S9 but at 1/4 the price this phone is great as both a phone and a device. I am happy with the purchase and if it lasts 2yrs I will be very happy.

not worth the effort

This is a google phone badged as an android and yes I know google owns android but there is a difference between a google phone and an android. This phone uses google to broker everything, especially text messages, usually brokered through your phone provider. And files and photos. The 'easy set up' card doesn't even have a diagram of sim card and sd card placement. I thought I would like it - dual sim, expandable SD storage, but the interface is so non-customisable. I can't edit home screen pages, all apps are there in order of install and not obvious to even alpha sort.
