Review: Ultra Street Fighter IV rewrites the formula

Ultra Street Fighter IV breathes new life into one of the best fighting games ever

New mechanics are genuine game changers; Hugo; Elena; Rolento; Poison and Decapre are great additions; Training mode tweaks and YouTube support is useful

Reused Tekken X Street Fighter assets; Trial modes for characters not included; Missing rival cinematics in Arcade Mode

Street Fighter IV

In conclusion Street Fighter IV has been certainly worth the wait. It ticks mostly all the boxes for a fighter, whether you are coming into this franchise with fresh fists or an old veteran from the previous series.

Classic old school gameplay; Updated visuals freshens up the series; Great online modes and experiences

Terrible menu interface; Can't turn the music off; 360 Pad is terrible; buy a stick or a PS3

Street Fighter IV Review (PC)

Street Fighter II Super Hydro Fusion Turbo Remix With Rockets On I have always had a love hate relationship with Fighting games. On the one side, fond memories of battling a friend for countless hours always brings a smile to my face, on the other, I can't shake that feeling of simplicity, static...

# Great looking visuals; # Nostalgia and new content finely balance; # Multiplayer is ‘the bomb

* Essentially Street Fighter II; * Doesn't progress the genre in any way; * Characters are imagined by twelve year boys

Street Fighter IV Reviewed

As you'll have seen from all of the screenshots and videos released thus far, Street Fighter IV is an incredible looking game. Running at a slick 60 frames per second and featuring a new, painterly art style with bulky, stylised characters and effects, this is easily the best looking fighter ever...

Street Fighter IV

Game pedigrees don't come much more distinguished than Street Fighter, the franchise that put 2D beat ‘em ups on the map and caused arcade coffers to swell throughout much of the early nineties.

Fighting Tournament Edition Pro Hi-Def Remix Turbo etc. So, another year has rolled around since and not only do I feel really old for typing out that sentence but Capcom have released a budget priced ‘Game of the Year' style re-release in V.

'Street Fighter IV' (Xbox 360)

The majority of self-respecting gamers who were big enough to grip an arcade stick back in 1991 spent more time with the likes of Ryu, Ken, Chun Li and Guile than they did with their own families.

Street Fighter IV

I really am pleased with how Street Fighter IV has turned out, I could easily have come away disappointed but Capcom have produced a sequel that shines for the same reasons Street Fighter II shone all those years ago.

Need practice

Having not played a street fighter game in many many years,l was convinced by my Xbox live friends to get this title for online madness. It's brutally smooth and the graphics are sharp, shame my game play isn't! Well recommended for beat em up fans!!

Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360)

"I've been playing street fighter since the age of 9 in the ex alpha series. However, Street Fighter IV is a totally different experience in that the overall game speed appears to be faster. In addition, there is a new attack called the focus attack.

Fast exciting play; Unique special and ultra attacks for every character

Short health bars leading to relatively short games
