I fell in love with Street Fighter since SFII, and stick with it. Seeing SFIV have old & new characters, brings back old memories and new challenges.

The majority of self-respecting gamers who were big enough to grip an arcade stick back in 1991 spent more time with the likes of Ryu, Ken, Chun Li and Guile than they did with their own families.

I really am pleased with how Street Fighter IV has turned out, I could easily have come away disappointed but Capcom have produced a sequel that shines for the same reasons Street Fighter II shone all those years ago.

That Street Fighter IV manages to overcome these burdens is remarkable. That it actively embraces them and then exceeds them makes the finished product all the more astonishing.

It's been a long time since I played a Street Fighter with any real level of skill. I used to be a fair hand when the original SFII came out and I stuck with it until about Alpha , but staying genuinely good at fighting games takes a lot of time and effort, and I just couldn't keep up.

Fantastic return of a long-loved series; great visual direction; very likable and diverse characters; extremely well-tuned fighting engine that rewards study and practice

That same reward system keeps the game from being something that anyone can simply pick up and play with favorable results; character stories told through sub-par anime sequences are completely lacking; online play lacks the lobby system seen in other Street Fighter releases
