The original UE Boom was one of the most impressive Bluetooth speakers we've seen, combining portability with huge sound, and now its bigger brother, the Megaboom, has landed; It's even louder but is almost twice the size.

Logitech hasn't strayed too far away from a winning formula with its latest Megaboom, and there's not too much to complain about; The price tag is our biggest complaint though, and at £249.99, the Megaboom towers over many of its peers for cost alone, not least its £170 sibling.

In the past, we've reviewed the UE Boom speakers. There's the Boom and Mini Boom, both of which are fantastic speakers. Now we've got our hands on the MegaBoom Speaker. Which is a much bigger speaker compared to the Boom, and it has more battery life, more sound, and more everything basically.

The UE Megaboom looks to be Logitech's way of starting the year with a bang, as its latest speaker is a supersized version of the already-loud original UE Boom , yet promises to be even beefier. At ￡249.99 it's a fair bit pricier too - and is bigger always better? We fired one up to find out.
