Twisted Metal

Offering intense vehicle combat is Twisted Metal (PS3) which reboots the Twisted Metal franchise that first launched on the PS2. Twisted Metal features both a story campaign and multiplayer combat (4 player split screen and 16 player online).

4 player split screen – Massive destruction

Controls don't feel natural – Lacks online community due to age

Twisted Metal (PS3) Review

The Twisted Metal series is one that's been a staple of the PlayStation since the original console. It was only a matter of time before it finally put in an appearance on PS3 and, while at it's core it remains a fun and chaotic destruction fest, the new things that this incarnation tries to do show...

Twisted Metal

When the original Twisted Metal was released in November of 1995, I was 10, and just about to enter junior high. That whole next year, a small group of friends and I spent far too much time on the couch, chasing each other down and giggling as we took one another out with missiles.

We All Scream For ISKREEM

No, it isn't as iconic as Twisted Metal 2 , but it still serves up a healthy dose of visceral fun that is only slightly diminished by dubious design decisions. It's certainly the benchmark for vehicular combat this generation.

Twisted Metal (PS3) - Review

As the gaming industry continues to move toward more story driven experiences, it's easy to forget that some games should be made just to be played. Eat Sleep Play's new Twisted Metal is exactly that sort of game.

Twisted Metal Review

The story of Twisted Metal is a lot like the game itself. A handful of psychopaths make a deal with devilish corporate overlord (and Professor Snape lookalike) Calypso to grant them their deepest wish if they win his gruesome tournament.

PS3 Review – Twisted Metal

You better bolt your door and shut your windows because the Twisted Metal competition is coming to your town. It's been a long time since gamers were able to experience all the vehicular mayhem that the Twisted Metal series has to offer, but is the franchise still true to its roots

+ Online multiplayer is a blast; + Just the re-invigoration the franchise needed

While it's not without its flaws, Twisted Metal manages to recapture that feeling the original games inspired way back during the PS1's early life. It is a perfectly-preserved slice of the late '90s that manages to appeal to established fans of the franchise, while still making the necessary changes...

Well-rounded selection of vehicles; plenty of game modes and content; fantastic handling and sense of control; robust and addictive multiplayer

Opponent AI is cheap; online matchmaking is wonky
