Considering I've been gaming for over thirty years, I'm a little embarrassed to admit the latest incarnation of the Twisted Metal franchise is my first blood-soaked taste of carmageddon, and yep I'll admit it, I‘ve been missing out.

You better bolt your door and shut your windows because the Twisted Metal competition is coming to your town. It's been a long time since gamers were able to experience all the vehicular mayhem that the Twisted Metal series has to offer, but is the franchise still true to its roots

Huge amount of variety to play around with; Story campaign hides a ton of hidden extras; Nuke is a cool addition to multiplayer

Multiplayer feels sparse next to campaign; Races tend to hinge on just picking the fastest car; The difficulty; if you prefer to breeze through games

Vast; complex; largely destructible environments; Diverse assortment of weapons calls for on-the-fly tactical smarts; Responsive controls let you react to constantly evolving dangers; Campaign has great cutscenes and memorable boss battles; Online competition is fast and thrilling

If you're up for a challenge and some old-school fun, then Twisted Metal is the game for you.

Great variety of cars and power-ups; B-movie cut scenes are especially well done.

Twitchy controls in places; Car and environment physics are pretty much non-existent; Unbalanced AI

Wish I found it sooner. Missed car games worth playing since Carmageddon all so many years ago. This game was beyond all hopes right into my top 10 games for ps3 top 25 of all time

twisted metal was such a great game back in the day.if they don't change the formula for witch made it so good.this will be another big 2011 release

I was upset with the psone Twisted Metal games and was kinda of backing out of buying TMB for only $20 since it was a "Greatest Hits" game. I remember playing this game and blown away by the control and the graphics and the story.

Imperfect, unapologetic fan service - but it feels good, dazzles visually, and has plenty of rose-tinted charm. A worthy last hurrah for the series? Your wish is granted.
