Fast & Furious

Twisted Metal is Fast. Real fast. If you just jump in the multiplayer right away you will get obliterated. I suggest play a few offline modes to get the controls down then once mastered go ahead and take the fight to others.

It is a reboot of the original, and a good one at that. All those destruction and explosions look so good with PS3 graphics. I never really care much about the story, although I find it strange that you can choose different vehicles for one character. But overall it's still a good game.

Twisted Metal (PS3)

Career missions are interspersed with boss battles, each more overwhelming than the last. While they're certainly engrossing, I experienced major technical issues, with the camera going haywire until I killed myself, in the second boss battle.

Looks great; Easy controls; Vehicles are well balanced; Crazy, adrenaline-pumping fun

Lock-on system can be annoying; Occasional camera bugs; Races are way too chaotic

Twisted Metal

It's been a long wait for fans that have been patiently waiting for the chance to bask in the explosions, gunfire, carnage, and high-speed action that is the Twisted Metal series. Over a decade ago, Black gave the series a dark and gritty new look, and after Head-On changed things up again in 2005,...

Twisted Metal Review

The story of Twisted Metal is a lot like the game itself. A handful of psychopaths make a deal with devilish corporate overlord (and Professor Snape lookalike) Calypso to grant them their deepest wish if they win his gruesome tournament.

Twisted Metal Review (PS3)

I have fond memories of the original Twisted Metal on PSone. It was a smack talking couch combat regular with friends. The game play was basic but fast paced and exciting. Purely named ‘Twisted Metal' is the first iteration for the series on current generation consoles.

Twisted Metal

game on the PSOne. The reason it's worrying is because that happened seventeen years ago, and is proof positive that I am not getting any younger.

Twisted Metal

As a package Twisted Metal stands very much as a singular vision of David Jaffe and Eat Sleep Play. It revels in its uncompromising nature and harkens back to the series' roots, which go back as far the PlayStation itself.

Twisted Metal PS3 Review

Twisted Metal is currently the oldest franchise that is exclusive to the PlayStation brand that is still running to this day. The series' first instalment was released way back in 1995 on the original PlayStation, which has been followed by numerous sequels over the years.

Twisted Metal

Twisted Metal never escapes the fact that it feels completely old and archaic. The premise is timeless, and there should always be room for a game of mindless destruction, but the execution is poor here.
