I get an average read speed of 80MB / second on simple file transfers on a Win 7 desktop or Win 8 laptop. Peak speeds have hit 92MB / second. On a usb 2 port it reads right around 32 MB/ second, about the max for the bandwidth available.

This is a Great product for a few months, than it just dies.... All data is gone and you can't even format it. Already replaced it once, and now after few months it died on my again.....

because,i was fear about this product...it is not my thinking capacity.....

I purchased this for storing very large image files. So far, it has functioned well, but not stellar. The write transfer rate of around 15 MB/s is slower than advertised (25 MB/s), and the rubber cap is cheap and fits loosely.
