My brother told me to get this to go with my Surface Pro 2, since my tablet does not come with an internal cd drive. This was the exact one he'd bought for himself but at a much cheaper price.

This device was a gift for my son who has a laptop without disc drive. His hard drive is loader with large flies like video especially movies. He can now load/transfer them to a DVDS and free up his hard drive.

Haven't had the opportunity to use this item for any length of time as yet, but it performed fine on "try out", so pleased so far.

Even though 'recommended' for the laptop my husband purchased, was not compatible. Had to either purchase additional software or download questionable freeware. Most of the features were unavailable, thus the instruction manual was just as useless as the CD/DVD writer.

Works really good, and it is compatible with windows 10. The other portable DVDs drives I looked at were not compatible with windows 10. The quality is really nice, and is one othe necessities since most laptops are ditching the CD drive!

The item arrived as per plan. I used only ones. I did not find any problem. So far so good. One thing is good that it is made in Taiwan and not in China.

Works great on PC or Mac!
