Not all it's cracked up to be
We purchased 2 of these cards for use as SSD's, and the speed promised simply isn't acheivable. When asking the manufacturer for advise, they just pointed to different IDE adapters, none of which worked as a proper SSD for this card, but would do so happily for other. supposedly slower cards.
Pros:
- It's a compact flash card
- with 32GB capactity
Cons:
- The speeds promised just aren't acheivable

DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND
I have always been really iffy about Transcend memory cards, because I am not familiar with the brand. However, I decided to buy this 32 GB CF card for my Canon 5D Mark II, because it was cheap.
Cons:
- Deletes your photos on its own
- Unreliable

Met expectations
Purchased for extra storage on my older Samsung NP-Q1 tablet - good value and so far (3 mos), works fine. Speed not a critical factor for this purpose, so can't speak to its suitability in more demanding applications.

Transcend 16GB Extreme 400x CompactFlash MemoryCard (UDMA-6)
These cards are certainly good value, and appear very fast. Seldom see the green writing data light on the D3x anymore, and when twinned with a UDMA card reader they are lighting fast at copying data.

Great card, especially considering the price
I have been using this for about a month and haven't experienced any problems at all in my 40D or Sandisk firewire card reader. If you are shooting lots of bursts with your camera, then go for the faster Extreme III or IV.
Pros:
- Quick, lots of capacity, much lower price than bigger name brands
- Very reliable
- Set at RAW+Large JPEG and ISO 100 in the 40D, it shows an estimated 957 pictures available
Cons:
- A little slower than other brands
- but at about 1/3 the cost

"Fast, cavernous storage and great value"
With flash memory coming down in price all the time, it pays to at least think about getting more than you need right at this moment. As the capacity goes up, so do the picture and video resolutions in the devices that use this memory, and the need for even more space increases too.
Pros:
- Fast
- huge capacity
- fantastic value
Cons:
- Not as fast as other CF cards but then they are FAR more expensive

Great Card Good Value
Unlike the prior reviewer I have not had any issues whatsoever with this or any other Transcend Compact Flash Card that I have purchased over the years. The card is lightning fast and reliable.

Works Great
I thought that I preferred the 8 Gig size before I got this 16G. Now I have changed my mind. 600+ RAW files in a morning is hard to do, so I just don't have to think about swapping the cards while I'm out in the boonies.
Pros:
- Perfect size and speed for the way I photograph
- It works great in my D700, and downloads quickly enough to my laptops
- I shoot RAW files on the road mostly, shoot early, download and eat, then shoot later and download again
- So far, I have not had to put in a second card while shooting this card
Cons:
- None so far
- I have 2 8 Gig cards just like it and they have never given me a problem
