UPDATE: It came in the mail today! Hype! Very fun arcade racer, brings back nostalgia of racers like they used to be. It has the arcade feel mixed with the speed of F-Zero. It brings back the arcade feel with the crew voices and even the music. Fantastic graphics and music.

Compulsive Arcade Style Racer

Like a cross between Need For Speed and Mario Kart. Pure arcade racer fun - not even trying to be realistic. Properly compulsive too - I'm struggling to put it down. Just one more track, just one more track...!

Trackmania Turbo (PS4)

TrackMania first launched on PC in 2003 and the franchise has spawned several sequels and has over fourteen million registered drivers according to their TrackMania Forever website. TrackMania Nations Forever is free to play , but the newer and more robust games are not.

Lots of racing modes and tracks available both in single-player and multiplayer; plenty of people online to play against; can randomly generate tracks to keep the gameplay fair; easy to use track editor for creating and sharing tracks

Car customization is rather limited; game failed to launch once

Trackmania Turbo Review – PlayStation 4

There are two types of racing games out there- realistic racers that lean more towards the simulation/pin-point accuracy end of things, and arcade racers. It's the difference between Forza and Crusing USA.

Positives + Beautiful visuals that are a step-up for the series; + Great presentation and compelling "one more turn" game play; + The type of racing game we don't see enough of on consoles

Negatives - May not appeal to players looking for a more traditional racing game built on beating opponents

Incredible sense of speed; Excellent visuals; Addictive multiplayer; In-depth track builder

Trackmania Turbo Review

The Simple and the absurd don't normally go together, but TrackMania Turbo harnesses both in such a wonderful way that it's hard not to get swept up in its high-octane racing. The very moment a he

Simplistic; yet exhilarating gameplay; Pace-setters are a terrific idea; There's a button to turn up the music

Longer tracks tend to outstay their welcome; Loaded with too many easier tracks in the early stages

The Endless Race

Racing games have two extremes: casual and hardcore. One is not necessarily better than the other, but they tend to be distinct flavors. TrackMania Turbo somehow combines the two, appealing to both crowds.

Trackmania Turbo

Trackmania Turbo combines the thrill of arcade racing with the addictive short-form challenges of games like Trials.
