Exploring MMO Glory With Tom Clancy's The Division

I tossed out a seeker mine. If everything went according to plan, it would hit the ground, roll into a group of enemies and spray fire everywhere, leaving a handful for me to pick off.

Tom Clancy's The Division – Review

We know exactly why you're here, so let's skip the chase and give our verdict on Ubisoft's ambitious open-world shooter within this opening paragraph. It certainly doesn't reinvent the third-person shooting genre, with lots of well-worn tropes on display.

Tom Clancy's The Division Review – Xbox One

At the start of the current console generation, much was made of co-op online gaming experiences. From E3 2012 up until present day, every game seemed to have some online co-op element weaved into its design.

Positives + Beautiful visuals; + Enjoyable co-op game play that's only as big a part of the experience as you want it to be; + Fun, well-executed tactical combat

Negatives - Several aspects of the game aren't well explained; - A huge game world with not much to do outside of missions; - Immersion is often difficult to maintain

Tom Clancy's The Division - Expansion II - Survival

'Survival' mixes traditional 'Division' shooter gameplay with elements of survival games, as the name might suggest. The character is dropped into a massive blizzard with very little equipment, and must make their way through New York into the Dark Zone for extraction.

The Division review

What is The Division, then? It's a vast, scrappy yet endearingly ambitious adventure that, for the most part, delivers on its promise. It's a city still under construction, too - we're yet to see the first Incursion, The Division's take on raids, that's coming in a free update next month - though in...

All that hype. All that expectation. All those delays. All that face paint. For a food salvage operation? You've decked me out in camouflage gear and given me an automatic weapon, just so I can find some snacks?

Overhyped

It's your usual dose of Ubisoft overhype. Turns out it's a really repetitive game that lacks any replay value (especially playing solo). There are periodic updates added to the game but it does nothing spectacular to turn this game into the game many were so excited about.

Tom Clancy's The Division

The Division is a cold, cold game. Yes, it's literally set in a version of New York gripped by winter snow flurries, and the remnants o...

Wonderfully deep customisation; Looks beautiful; Packed with stuff to do

Dull story and characters; Unsatisfying end-game; Combat and perks are limited

Another Poor Solo game tagged Tom Clancy

Unable to save so have to keep going over the same old boring crap time and time again. Completely unrealistic, empty a full AK47 mag into someone's back and they spin round and shoot you. Played for a number of hours before I uninstalled and threw it away.
