SimCity 4 is already the fourth installment of one of the most addictive games and challenging games in history. Yeah, It's really hard to believe that many years have passed since the original SimCity (1989?) was first released.

Game has issues with windows 7 somr driver is not installing. it works on an older PC with windows but hangs.
I own this game since from August 2004 and when I played it, I totally loved it. I mean, this game has much more opportunities and control for me to take the power with, comparing with the SimCity 2000.
A bit too cartoonish for my taste. It is mostly what you expect, you build a city and watch it suffer (hopefully) or prosper. Like the other games in the series. The innovation this time around where you can take control of firetrucks to rescue cats from trees and other miniquests spoil the game for...
The SimCity series, like Civilisation, is one of those few series of games which can claim to be truly great. For those of you who aren't familiar with the genre, in SimCity you become the (unelected) Mayor of a city, and must build roads, schools, hospitals, police stations, tourist traps,...
Amazing detail; endless possibilities; addictive; brilliant
Can at times be very hard; Not for the gamer who wants action
Awesome game, its about as realistic as a game can get as far as strategy....the only thing keeping it from being a ten is some slight technical problems: it takes forever to load, it occasionally has some freezing problems....but the problems aren't major enough for me to stop playin it...
However, the game overall is incredible. I have been a diehard fan of the Sim City series since its days on the SNES. Sim City 3000 wasn't all that great, so this was a huge breath of fresh air for the series as far as graphics and gameplay.
I bought this game in 2004 for some high price thinking "I have always loved Sim City and maybe this is good." Boy was I surprised; first off, even now here in 2009, the graphics are not hugely dated, and the game looks amazing at high quality settings.
For those of you who have never played a Sim City game, I really recommend you go into buying this knowing what your getting yourself in to; The game has an EXTREME learning curve if you have never played a Sim City game before.
Sim City 4 was the obvious choice for a seasoned Sim City 2000 player, when it turned up on the Mac. Thinking this I bought it at the reasonable (then) price of £25.00. General Gameplay Sim City is like most simulation games: you get to sit at the controls and make things happen, while the simulated...
Build a city and make sure the inhabitants like living there and you don't go bankrupt. That's the short and simple but also very addictive formula of SimCity which has now reached version 4.
I bought this game because i like playing megapolis on my phone. In my opinion this is game is hard to figure out and i didnt want to take the time to figure it out. not saying other people enjoy it though, its just not for me.
