I was spellbound while playing this game. This is the best PS4 game that money can buy till date.Go for it blindly.

I finally got my ps4 last week and made the mistake of putting this game in first. After realizing that I couldn't get rid of those black bars and poor graphics, I quit playing it after 15 minutes and moved on to Far Cry 4.

Got this for my 60+ year old dad for Father's Day, he likes resident evil and after all the years of him playing PlayStation I decided on this then enabling him with a bottle of whiskey.

The Evil Within doesn't mess about. Within ten minutes, after a b-movie-like intro cinematic, you find yourself in a room full of corpses and blood.

Channels those Resi 4 vibes; Incredibly tense; Gameplay is great

The combat and stealth work well, especially when combined with the more open world levels; Plenty of tension and some inventive enemies and boss encounters

Very few new ideas and most of the old ones worked better in their original form; Low frame rate, lots of bugs, and hugely unhelpful camera; Awful storytelling and not thats scary

My son loves these types of game he is an older tenrage boy. I do not recommend this game for young kids due to vilolence/content but overall it's a good game.

Challenging; Graphics

First few hours are utter guff - disjointed and disappointing. But don't give up- gets so much better as you carry on. It's not perfect, can be clunky and harsh but always playable. As resident evil a game could get without being titled resident evil. Recommended.
