There are very few games that I anticipate with every fiber of my being and The Evil Within happens to be one of them. Since it was first teased in those two crappy vines, I kept a very close eye on this game.

Almost twenty years ago, Resident Evil released on the PlayStation and quickly became one of the most critically acclaimed horror games of all time. That franchise has become so popular that sometimes it's easy to overlook the mastermind behind the great series of games.

I've been a fan of the horror genre for the majority of my life. From books and comics, to movies, video games, and board games, I'm always on the lookout for something to give me a good scare. However, I've never been a huge fan of the survival horror style of video game.

I liked this game a lot. One of favorite games, In my personal opinion it was as good as the last of us or dark souls. I particularly loved playing this game on akumu mode.

First off this game is very difficult. If you can get passed the difficulty the game delivers and the creeps. It has jump scares, creepy atmosphere, and gore for those that like that. It also has segments with action. Survival horror at its best.

Forget about the Resident Evil connection: The Evil Within stands alone and still manages to feel relevant, despite far more sophisticated contemporaries.
