Following on the heels of 2014's The Evil Within , this year's sequel , simply titled The Evil Within 2 , is now out. The game is a wonderful example of a survival horror videogame. It is, in its best moments, scary and very compelling.

Effective horror usually requires a highly directed experience - careful directorial control over each plot beat to keep the tension building, a hand guiding the camera to make sure you see whatever horrific creature lurches behind the protagonist.

I love it. Satisfying to play and creepy in a stylish way.

I bought this a couple of days after release & have hardly stopped playing it. A good horror game with a bit more polish that the first title. Can be played through pretty quickly, but where's the fun in that Find those secrets!

When The Evil Within released back in 2014, we were introduced to the STEM world for the first time, a virtual space tainted by an evil mind, and as Detective Sebastian Castellanos we were tasked with entering this hellhole and facing all the horrific monsters that it had created.

You could tell that this was a sequel, so I\u2019d recommend playing the first game beforehand (or watching the gameplays for the original Evil Within on YouTube), but other than that it was great!! Everything was beautifully done!!
