Fun

buy it on sale and you'll probably find it well worth the money.

10 hours of gameplay on hardest setting includeing new game + being beatin-less then excellent but i got it for 5 bucks sooo its epic! graphics are ok not the best; gameplay was great made up for grtaphical shortfalls add in a descent story with some cool dark twisted gory killin and its perfect

the cut scenes for the demon arm kills get old; but nothing you cant live with

Darkness and pure gore!

Another FPS for pc, and another GREAT one, but quite short in my opinion. The combo of melee plus guns is a great idea, and the kills and how you evolve your character makes this game repeatable, but not much. In the co-op we can play with other darkness users and it's pretty funny.

The Darkness II Review (PC/OnLive)

So a while back I asked to review a game for OnLive and they generously said "sure, have a couple" so I picked a second game called The Darkness II simply because I loved the trailer with a twitchy guy standing in the dark babbling about the game.

The Darkness is back......with more vengeance and more blood in a mortal combat! Released in February 2012, The Darkness 2features a greater battle between the protagonist, Jackie Estacado and his arch rivals.

Windows XP/Vista/Win 7; 2 GHz Core2Duo / Athlon 64 X2 4200+ CPU; 256 MB GeForce 8600/Radeon HD 2600 graphics card; 1.5 GB RAM; 10 GB hard-drive space

Lacks innovation; Poor AI; Long load times; lacklustre animation; Very short campaign

The Darkness II is a shooter. OK, so that seems a pretty odd statement to make: Of course The Darkness II is a shooter! But in this sequel's case, it's an important point to consider. The Darkness (the original game on consoles) had the feel of an adventure.

Demonic arms + solid gunplay = fun times; Unusual; creepy story that's more than just cheap shocks; Skill tree gives the action some diversity; Excellent voice acting and sound effects

Incredibly short campaign; Linear levels and second-rate AI make for predictable encounters; Run-of-the-mill co-op missions lack challenge

Bioshock Infinite

One of the best games I've played in the last decade. I would highly recommend this game to anybody who loves a good story with their game play.

The Darkness 2 Review

And what a campaign it is! True, it occasionally falters as a result of trying too hard to be angry and graphics – and, yes, there are definitely some tedious moments as you harvest empty rooms for every screed of dark essence. But when it works?

The Darkness II

First-person shooter The Darkness II is out in the US, and tomorrow in the UK, and I've played it through to the gruesome end. Past the gruesome beginning, via the gruesome middle. How does all that grue hold up? Well, wipe away the lung and take a seat, and I'll tell you Wot I Think.

In 2007 when the original The Darkness hit gamers shelves, many were taken by surprise other than the core fanbase of comic fans. Now five years later the game takes on a new developer, Digital Extremes, as the games previous parents, Starbreeze, are busy with their own upcoming title.
