The original Tekken Tag Tournament came to the console market as a PS2 exclusive launch title, and was an interesting take on the Tekken series that, until now, was never expanded upon. It's a little surprising that Namco didn't revisit the concept for twelve years.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 doesn't add much new to the fighting scene, but it's still one of the great fighting games out there with a huge roster, tons of combos to learn and a campaign that is willing to teach you most of them, it's not perfect and it doesn't exactly do everything to welcome...

For one, there isn't anything here other than the core fighting – no bowling, volleyball, or even a game of Galaga to pass the time. Thankfully, that fighting core has been improved tremendously. There are a ton of double team attacks and the pace is the fastest yet for a Tekken game.
