Tekken Hybrid (PS3) Review

Tekken Hybrid is a must own for hardcore Tekken fans. Tekken Tag Tournament holds up pretty well after 11 years and looks good in HD. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue is a great demo for the upcoming game.

Tekken Hybrid review

Can the prospect of receiving a film and a game on the same disk tempt Tekken fans this time around?

Nostalgia; All the characters are unlocked; Nice inclusion of Tekken Bowling.

Blu-ray content is fairly lacking in entertainment value; No new additions to the combat other than graphical updates.

Tekken Hybrid Review

How much do you love Tekken Tag? This is the most important question you will have to ask yourself before deciding if Tekken Hybrid is worth your hard-earned $40.

+ Tekken Tag has aged well; + Good package for Tekken fans; + Blood Vengeance in 3D

Package feels a bit underwhelming; No online play; It is still a demo

PS3 Review - 'Tekken Hybrid'

Tekken Hybrid includes a full-length 3D CG movie, bonus video content, Tekken Tag Tournament HD, which includes fan favorite Tekken Bowl, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue.

Tekken Hybrid

The latest release from Tekken headquarters and Namco Bandai Games, Tekken Hybrid, doesn't have the normal setup you would usually find in a video game. It's a package comprised of three main components.

Tekken Hybrid Review

As for Blood Vengeance, well, those of you who are familiar with Tekken's increasingly convoluted, borderline absurd plotline should have an idea of what to expect. All the usual eccentricities are here, from benevolent, pet Pandas to pink-haired, flying robot chicks.

Tekken Tag is still fantastic after all these years and packed full of content; Tekken Bowl; Tekken Tag 2 demo plays like a dream

No online mode for Tekken Tag HD; Tekken: Blood Vengeance is a bit naff in places; The demo left us wanting more

Tekken Hybrid

First of all, I should point out immediately that Tekken Hybrid isn't a single game , but is, in fact, a bundle of Tekken goodness. There is a High Definition version of the original Tekken Tag Tournament , a preview of the upcoming Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (appropriately named Tekken Tag Tournament...

Tekken Hybrid PS3 Review

Being released within the PS2's launch window, Tekken Tag Tournament is now over ten years old, so with a sequel on the way, Namco Bandai felt it was time to do what is popular these days and put together a HD upgrade which, unlike the PS2 version, doesn't look like somewhat of a blurry mess on a...

3 in 1 Tekken Disc

I like that it includes a demo for Tekken Tag Tournament 2, HD version of the brought-back-to-life Tekken Tag Tournament 1, and Blu Ray version of "Tekken Blood Vengeance". It is nice although it seems like a review of Tekken games/movie that was released ago.

Tekken Hybrid

Tekken Tag Tournament feels fresh and sharp, even over ten years later, but it's a pity that everything in the game comes unlocked as there's less incentive to play the full roster of characters in order to open up the hidden characters or Tekken Bowling, but there will be those (lazy) people...

Feels as polished as it did so many years ago; The HD upgrade works; Cheap

Not really the ultimate package; Little more than a demo with TTT2; The movie sucks
