I really wanted a macro lens because when you do not have the time to go out to scenic places just your backyard can open up a whole new world that is waiting to be explored and represented in beautiful pictures.
Pros:
- Bokeh
- Sharpness
- Color saturation
- contrast
- Optics overall
- A six year warranty
Cons:
- I don't want to quote build quality as a weakness (but have to mention here for clarification since some people might have written it as a weakness) because you cannot expect all metal construction for the price
- It is good quality polycarbonate and will surely last quite long if not forever

Tremendous lens for the money, never regretted buying it. While Tamron has some average zooms, this lens is a cracker and recommended to anyone.

Great
Heard that more expensive glass makes a difference - in this case true.
Pros:
- Super crisp and clear images
- Amazing macro lens, even with hand held situations
Cons:
- Somewhat noisy auto-focus(minor issue)

Good macro lens
Overall this is a very good lens. It takes some time to get used to the AF/MF switch. This lens is light weight and very sharp. At F2.8 there's some slight vignetting on my 5D Mark II--barely noticeable. Compared to my Canon EF 85mm F1.8, the auto focus of the Tamron is slow and noisy.

Great macro lens at good price point
I was looking for a macro lens and planning for Canon 100mm Macro lens but that was going out of my budget so I started surfing multiple photography websites to find any other macro lens, comparable to Canon 100mm macro but with lower price tag.

Fantastic value for money and great results
I purchased this lens as I have been wanting one for a while now and have been extremely happy with it. I am yet to find anything that I am not happy with. Love the ease of use and the results I have achieved since purchasing this lens.

The sharpness and clarity of the macro shots as well as normal shots are excellent. Thanks to Sony for building image stabilisat
I tried this on my Sony alpha 58. This has been with me for two weeks now. The sharpness and clarity of the macro shots as well as normal shots are excellent. Thanks to Sony for building image stabilisation in camera which makes a lower cost non VC lens very effective.

Great Macro Lens, no autofocus on EA-LA3 adapter
Very solid macro lens with good sharpness and easy to use focus controls. This lens works perfectly on a Sony a77m2 with good autofocus control. There was another review on B&H where the reviewer was using it on a Sony E mount using the EA-LA3 adapter.

A beautiful lens
I guess everyone else has reviewed this lens for its macro and close-up capabilities and I would simply add my own thumbs-up in that department - this lens does what a good macro lens should do and it does it excellently.
