Sharp
I have to say this is a very impressive lens for the price. It has allowed me to get some great shots of my toddler who never sits still. I can hand hold this at about 1/40th a second if I'm careful to stay still. Sharpness is great threw out the whole range.
Pros:
- VC Focus Speed Aperture
Cons:
- none

Wedding Photographer
This lens offered me the best bang for the buck as I am starting to do Weddings and events. I need a fast lens for low light venues and this lens does a great job. I have it paired with a Canon 7D and it has given me some clean crisp shots.

OK, but not great.
I wanted a general purpose zoom lens for my Canon Eos XSi and after reading extensive reviews of various lenses I decided to try the Tamron to save a little money over the equivalent Canon lens.
Pros:
- Easily Interchangeable
Cons:
- Blurry Focus

Most of the alphabet seems to feature at some point in the Tamron's full title, but these abbreviations promise plenty of features. SP signifies Super-Performance, based on three XR (Extra-Refractive) elements, an LD (Low-Dispersion) element and two Aspherical elements in its construction.

Very food lens.
I have a canon eod-1000 and this is the second tamron lens i'm buying to this camera. I'm happy with the buying the tamron lenses are good. If you can afford to yourself to buy an original lens of canon it's better. But as a tamron product it's A very good lens.

Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f2.8 XR Di II VC
The kit lenses you get with digital SLRs aren't generally that good. They might be sharp enough, but their specifications and handling leave something to be desired. The Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 could be the answer, offering a significant step up in features, versatility and, perhaps, performance.

Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF)
Designed for APS-C cameras but with a pro-spec build quality, this sub-£500 optic is a good update to an already popular lens
