Convenient To Carry Around. Good One Also
The Tamron SP AF 70-300mm F/4-5,6 Di VC USD (for Canon Digital SLR) Lens is carefully constructed with 17 elements in 12 different groups to give you perfect pictures. The size and weight is not much, which makes it convenient to carry around. Overall, it is a good buy at the price.

Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD SP AF review by d5100_Nikon
Much much better than the Nikon 55-300mm I returned. I can get fairly sharp pics with this lens at 300mm. Very happy with that! There are some things to be aware of - you need lots of light to use a faster shutter speed, and other things that are less important. I totally recommend this lens!
Pros:
- Sharp
- quiet
Cons:
- Not always focusing accurately

Ripped me off.
Now the lens has jacked up my Canon body and Tamron refuses to work on it because it is "gray market." These people are liars and thieves. There is no warranty.

The lens handles very well, the only thing that lets it down is the CA, esp at telephoto, need to stop down to f8 to reduce it. Despite the CA still prefer it over the Canon version just due to build quality and handling, have owned both.
Pros:
- Quiet fast AF FTM Excellent stabiliser Sharp up to 300
Cons:
- Chromatic Abberation especially wide open Struggles to focus accurately in low light

- Rugged
- Strong Construction
Cons:
- NONE

Excellent lens. Great price
I bought this tamron lensf or my new camera, mainly to be able to get action photos, since my daughter is doing all kinds of sports. It is working nicely with the camera and the clarity is excellent, for an amateur photographer.
