Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD
Tamron has produced a telezoom \Lthat delivers in every key area. From focusing through to optical performance, it doesn't disappoint and should meet the requirements of most enthusiasts. Its large size may put off some, but we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and capable telezoom.

The Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD performed fairly well in our full format test but it is a more desirable lens on an APS-C DSLR. The resolution figures are very high in the scope and that's, at least mostly, across the image frame.

I am a happy customer. I expected this one to be a very ordinary low budget lens. But its image quality surprised me and I loved the images even though I have used Canon 70-200 L series. Its not weather proof as the L series.

The 70-300mm lens from Tamron offers a lot of zoom in a reasonably priced lens, delivering sharp images.

Cons:
- Zoom movement is very firm
- Unattractive bokeh

Unlike the somewhat basic affair that is the Tamron AF 70-300mm Macro , the new Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD has all the latest bells and whistles, or at least their high-tech, optical equivalents.

I bought this for my new D7000. pictures are very sharp even at 300mm and very great bokeh effect. I was considering the nikkor 70-300mm. But I am glad that I bought this. I borrowed the nikkor 70-300mm from my friend and compared this and nikkor. GO TAMRON.

Still great, even after 1 year
I saw Tamron has more rebates out right now. Got my first one on rebate...this makes it enticing to look at more toys...
Pros:
- Just chiming in as others have said--spectacular value
- I bought this from Newegg over a year ago Along with a Canon T2i), and it is still performing flawlessly
- It is a joy to use
- The Image Stabilization (IS) is truly as good as everyone says it is.
Cons:
- It wasn't free
