overall fun game, but tales fan should definitely not miss out on this!
I'm a big fan of the Tales series, and was really looking forward to this when it came out. Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy my time with the game. The game is made overly difficult, with the strength of your characters relying on a convoluted equipment/skill system that's never really explained...
Tales of Zestiria completes the trifecta of great JRPGs on PS4 this month. Fans of the Tales universe and newcomers alike will love the fifteenth entry's complex, varied customization options, revamped combat system and lovable cast.
Engaging characters with lovable personalities; Fun; fast-paced; energetic combat; Deep customization with a multitude of options to consider; Maps are more open and organic than previous titles; Go Shiina's soundtrack contributions are ridiculously awesome
Localization is more awkward than past games; First five or so hours are a snoozefest; Graphics aren't even close to meeting current-gen standards
Sorey is a unique individual. Unlike anyone else in current time, he is a human living among seraphim, which are element-based humanoids that cannot be seen by human beings, and he is the only one in a long time to sense them in any form.
- Very few franchises have stood the test of time and are still considered gaming favorites among their respective genres quite like Tales Of. While some would argue that there have been franchises that have been around for decades, majority of them are not consistent in their games releases.
Tales of Zestiria is without a doubt the best Tales game in a while, I was glad to finally get back into the series and it's made me want to get back into the past entries. Some might think they played it a bit safe story-wise and in terms of exploring, but it is a solid RPG from beginning to end...
Let me start off saying that if you've never played a Tales game before, or you're new to the series, you'll probably enjoy this game. The world has interesting elements in it and it offers a fun journey. Ancient legends, magic, adventure-- what could be better
I will start this by telling you that I love the Tales of series. I've played quite a number of them now, and I have yet to find one that I don't like. It just varies a bit as to how much I like them. The new Tales of Zestiria is not an exception to that rule!
It was infuriating. I have never played any Tales series and I thought I would give them a try, but never again. The game was beautiful though
