Potentially useful extra ports.

A potentially useful little port-extender if you're ever running out of USB sockets, or a make-do ethernet interface until you can get an internal card. This is obviously designed mostly for laptops, as the USB cable is short and on my desktop machine, would've dangled from the USB socket if I...

TP-Link TL-UE330 USB3.0 3-Port Hub & Gigabit Ethernet Adapter 2 in 1 USB Adapter 1000Mbps Plug and Play

I've been using this extensively with my Surface Pro 4 while traveling, and I'm very glad that I bought it! The adaptor is light while still feeling solid. No weird creaks or groans, and I've had a mouse, a flash drive, and an external 2.5" HDD being powered off the adaptor with no issues.

We have purchase 4 of these for our work laptops and they have connected to the network without any effort. Great product.

It's faster than onboard Killer E2202 card

It's definitely faster than the onboard WiFi card but has one serious issue, it could randomly generate Kernel panics in Win10 Pro if it has other USB3 devices hooked up. USB2 devices resulted being far more stable. If not using USB ports, there's no kernel panics until the date. Also, worked on some random USB3 ports, one of the functional ports was detecting the device but not picking up the Realtek chip. Curiously it happened on more than one computer. So try different USB port if it doesn't work in the first one you tried. If not that, it would've been a nice alternative to the onboard Ethernet. I recommend this product anyway.
