Migrating to an 802.11 draft-n wireless network will cost you well under $200 if you opt to shop around a little and go for the TP-Link TL-WR941N router and one of its associated USB adapters (TL-WN821N).

TP-Link TL-WR941D review
TP-Link's TL-WR941D cable internet wireless router is the cheapest Draft-N wireless router that we've reviewed by a long way. It's so new that it wasn't even on sale as we went to press, but we've been told that it will cost just £38 including VAT, which makes it a bargain.

TP-Link TL-WR941ND Wireless N Router
The TP-Link TL-WR941ND Wireless N Router is a wireless router that supports the Draft N 2.0 specification and not much else. This means no network storage or dual-band support (the router works only in the 2.4GHz frequency), no print-serving capability, and no Gigabit Ethernet.
Pros:
- Simple and responsive Web interface
- easy setup
- good performance and range
- supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup
- affordable
Cons:
- No N-only mode
- mediocre feature set
- bulky, dated design
- no desktop setup application

TP-Link TL-WR941ND
If you can't connect the name TP-Link with wireless routers, you're not alone. Chinese-based TP-Link cut its networking teeth manufacturing components for Atheros, Broadcom, and others for several years before setting up its own shop in 2004.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Simple, wizard-driven setup and configuration
Cons:
- Uninformative interface
- Mediocre throughput at short range

Wireless is becoming a standard in the home with the demand for faster and longer range devices. TP-Link's TL-WR941ND has both at an affordable price.

Great Except not TIVO compatible
The older -WR642G from TP-LINK worked great until lightning went thru the cox cable line and fried a TIVO Series 3, a network card and WRG-642 router set up network but wound not connect to Internet after lightning strike.
Pros:
- Easy set up, fast especially strong signal with Rosewill external antenna
- Very strong connection on Laptop but not compatible with TIVO it seems
Cons:
- Will not work with TIVO which I primarily needed it for
- Spent lots of time with TIVO tech support
- Odd problems, not supported by TIVO but they tried for hours to help me solve

This wireless n router works perfectly, I have been using this router for about 2 months now and have had no problems with it. I replaced my old router with this one and would not switch back. I really like how the settings can be changed for each antenna.

Works great when it works a bit flaky staying connected to modem.
I have had a lot of trouble keeping this unit connected to the modem. I have a lot of experience setting up networks and this router worked great for two and a half months. Then it started dropping it's connection to the modem every second day.
