good router for a bridge

Needed a simple router to act as a bridge for my TV in order to stream HD movies from my NAS. This router does it well with very little configuration. It's been up and running for the last 2-3 weeks without any problems, connection drops or need to restart. I'm happy with it and is recommend it.

Its a basic router that supports the lower end of Wireless-N but a nice feature and the reason I bough this one is you can load custom firmware onto it just be carefull because there is not much memory to load other plugins. So its a nice cheap router that accepts OpenWRT.

Economical and works great

This router was easily set up and networked. It performs exactly as it should with no problems. It was so worth the money plus more. It performs better than more expensive models.

A simple router

Less of some advanced features. I flashed DDWRT and it works OK.

Don't bother

I recently bought this router, is very easy to install, but the quality is very bad. I'm sitting less than two mt. away and sometimes the connection gets dropped. I tried updating the firmware, nothing changed. Tried contacting TP-Link, a week later nobody replied.

Average coverage, can handle many users at once

I bought this for my flat at uni and for the price its pretty impressive. It'll work through multiple walls with most devices(though my mobile and ipod were quite slow at times depending on where you are in the room, though laptops and games consoles work fine).

TP-Link TL-WR741ND review

TP-Link's TL-WR741ND Wi-Fi router offers better than 802.11g but not quite 802.11n performance.

TP-Link TL-WR741ND review

TP-Link's WR741ND router with 150Mbit/s N-Lite wireless networking and 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet is almost obscenely cheap at just £17. At this price, anything vaguely functional would be a bargain, but we were pleasantly surprised by the WR741ND's performance and interface.
