Fantastic Wireless Router. The physical specs are great, especially considering the rediculously low price. Wireless signal range is about average, as is to be expected. The Firmware Upgrade utility included in the stock WebUI makes upgrading to OpenWRT so easy.

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND

Just £42 for a superfast modem? Seems fishy. That's the price you'd pay for a standard Wireless G router, not a dual-band Wireless N model.
Pros:
  • Great price
  • Fast speed (despite being single band
Cons:
  • Not many features
  • Not the easiest to set up

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND Wireless-N Gigabit Router review

Competitive pricing coupled with a good product makes for a winning combination. If you're in need of high network transfer speeds and good wireless range, then the TP-Link WR1043ND is worth considering.

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND 300Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router

A little on the simplistic side and it lacks some of the fancier features of some other "reputable"..

Great Price.

This router is fine with G speeds but with N it connects and you can see full 270mb connection but Onces you start to transfer a file (500mb+) over WIFI it drops down to like 20mb or sometimes 10mb 48mb etc...

Zyxel NSA320

Very nice if you're tech-savvy with this kind of box and understand all the options. I just wish they had a 4-bay RAID option

Decent for the price

Looking at a second one the modify my system. Detachable antennas is a must for me. I have had several DLink and Linksys radios over the years, this one has outlasted them all. (Most of them get fried in electrical storms with the high gain antenna. I now extra ground all systems).
Pros:
  • Flashed it with DD-WRT vers 24 out of the box at least 2 years ago and have never looked back
  • Have a high gain antenna attached to stretch to another building 400m away
  • Radio is okay, not real powerful in my house - through 4 walls just barely connects to my cell phone, but still does
Cons:
  • System goes down every few months
  • unplug and reboot and it is up and running - never sure what part of the system locks up.

Constant Dropped Signal

If less than 1 star was an option, that is what I would choose. This router is complete junk. It constantly drops signal, sometimes 20+ times per hour. After contacting the company, they sent me a replacement that is just as terrible as the first.
