TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND Ultimate Wireless N Gigabit Router Review
The TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND Ultimate Wireless N Gigabit router managed to deliver very good speeds when transferring data to one computer to another inside the LAN (wired connection) and decent WiFi speeds while testing with different USB Wireless adapters.

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND Router Review
I've been in the market for a new router myself recently, and I have to say it's an increasingly tricky decision to get right in this modern world of dual-band, gigabit and all sorts of other mind-boggling jargon.

When we reviewed the first generation TL-WR1043ND back in 2010 we gave it a Silver Award. It would become one of the most popular TP-Link routers, perhaps even the most popular one.

I bought the router based on the reviews from this website and I was disappointed. Experienced WAN port bug with stock firmware so I flashed to DD-WRT. The wifi signal using the DD-WRT firmware would drop after a few hours of use and I wasn't able to use VPN. This is not a must have router.

Poor range
The range of this router is about the same as my previous 6 year old router. The 11n range should be more than my old 11g router. But surprisingly the range is same. In the config I choose the 11n option, but still no improvement in the range. The three antennas seems for decoration purpose only.
Pros:
- Easy To Set Up
- Secure
Cons:
- Unreliable

Works Awesome
Great router. WiFi signal is great, easily covers the entire house. Big antennas and lots of features. Perfect for what I needed and can't beat the price.
