I just grabbed this unit for my sister's computer which would not have a wired internet connection. Works great so far and there has been no emotions spent during setup. This is definitely not the newest and bad-a** wifi adapter... but hey, it does the job.

Inexpensive; Quick setup; Reliable wireless-n connection so far

Nothing technical; It is definitely bigger and not as compact as those dongle units

Great bit of kit

I have a desktop computer in a room in which I can't get a wi-fi signal on my iPhone or on an Edimax wireless USB. I used to connect using the Edimax positioned outside of the room using an extension cable.

TP-Link Wireless N 300Mbps High Gain USB Adapter

As a replacement for an old usb adapter you couldn't get any better for the price. I bought this for a client who had no IT skills what so ever, and within minutes had his rig on line. This adapter has fantastic coverage and can help to lessen the dead spots you sometimes get with a Wi-Fi setup.

fiesty and effervescent

This product arrives quickly and works well. I recommend letting windows handle the configuration of the device once you get it working. TP Link's configuration device (TWCU.exe) was causing other programs to lose focus and minimizing fullscreen programs which made me cry a lot.

Bad for Windows, Good for Linux

The TP-LINK Wifi manager appears to permanently disable/break something (never found what) preventing Windows from connecting through the device in any way other than the TP-LINK software, even after the Software was uninstalled.

Has an Atheros Chipset; so it's almost guaranteed to work with Linux

TP-LINK Wifi Manager is trash.

I have purchased two of these, one for my parents who live in a house in the suburbs and one for myself. Theirs seems to be doing a great job with the router being installed in the basement, one floor below the desktop. Mine, however, is a different story.

TP-LINK TL-WN822N 300 Mbps Wireless-N USB Network Adapter

Plug and play, works perfect with windows 8 x64, and awesome range and signal strength. I found routers from the end of my streets! awesome speed, my old one had maximum download 13Mb/s, and this one got 28Mb/s.

easy of install; signal range; signal strength; download speed

If I'd be really picky; colour and blinking light

Excellent wi-fi reciever

Bought one of these for my road trips, excellent Wi-Fi unit, really pulls in the wireless networks. Very stylish unit, with folding ariels, these are 3dbi are have good reception. The only problem I had the drivers on the disk were out of date, so just get on the TP-Link website and get the current...

Wif-fi performance
