Good product

So far so good! Much faster that the Netgear N600 and easier to set up. Just put the disc in and follow directions. Password protect keeps the thieves away from your signal. Great for tech dummies like myself.

TP-Link TL-WDR3600 drops internet connection every 2 - 5 minutes

With both modems, the TP-Link TL-WDR3600 dropped the internet connection every 2 - 5 minutes. The only remedy was to reset the internet connection every two minutes. This is totally unacceptable.
Pros:
  • The TP-Link TL-WDR3600 is advertised as being dual-dand, with two USB ports
  • That's about the only comment I can objectively make about this router that is positive
Cons:
  • I bought a TP-Link TL-WDR3600 router brand new, with stock firmware version TL-WDR3600_V1_120508 (Firmware Date: 5/28/2012) pre-installed
  • I tried to use the TL-WDR3600 router with two different modems, a Motorola SB5100, and a Motorola SB6141 that previously worked flawlessly with a LinkSys WRT54GS...

Awesome Router

Awesome Router Pros: 1. Dual Band 2. Very Good pricing 3. Range is ok. 4. Dual USB. I installed two 2 TB harddisk in it. I get around 5 MB read speed and 4 MB write speed. 5. Look wise good. 6. response time is very good. Cons: 1. The firmware would have been better. I used ASUS routers earlier.

eh

Doesn't have the range I was looking for. I have a desktop out in the garage and I cannot get a signal. My old router was a Belkin 300n and it worked fine. I went back to using it...

Not as described

This router is NOT Linux compatible as stated. Everything works fine on Linux except the Print Server function which is non-existent. There are forum posts about this issue across the web. It's Tp-link's fault and they are making a false claim.

Really easy to configure this router. Excellent coverage around a house with solid walls. 5ghz channel good but not as greater range which is a characteristic of that band. Have used TP Link before and found to be very reliable and easy to configure.

TP-LINK TL-WDR3600 router

Network specialist TP-LINK is carving a name for itself as a provider of low-cost, high-quality networking kit. We took a look at the sub-£20 Nano Router and were left suitably impressed with its versatility and value.

Bought this router as a replacement for my old Cisco wrt160n. The initial setup of this router is quite simple, just follow the "quick setup" at the router's web interface and you should be done within 5 minutes. The range is definitely better than my old router.
Pros:
  • -Cheap
  • -Working great at 5.0Ghz
  • -Reasonable long range
Cons:
  • -Useless 2.4Ghz
  • -Takes about an minute to reset when saving router configuration
