I have tried a few brand name routers over the years and had mixed results. So I was a little skeptical to TP-Link since I have never heard of the brand before. The price was right and the features looked really good so I decided to try.

Really easy to configure this router. Excellent coverage around a house with solid walls. 5ghz channel good but not as greater range which is a characteristic of that band. Have used TP Link before and found to be very reliable and easy to configure.

eh

Doesn't have the range I was looking for. I have a desktop out in the garage and I cannot get a signal. My old router was a Belkin 300n and it worked fine. I went back to using it...

Good product

So far so good! Much faster that the Netgear N600 and easier to set up. Just put the disc in and follow directions. Password protect keeps the thieves away from your signal. Great for tech dummies like myself.

Great router

I bought this router to update an older model dlink g that would drop signal due I think to many wireless devices. After adding dish network and 2 cell phones and 2 tablets the old one was not able to keep up.

Great features but a poor device

I purchased this on Saturday 11/1 and am returning it on Monday 13/1. I purchased it for two reasons - to increase wireless signal in the house due to a mass increase of wireless devices at Christmas and to use the USB ports to share the USB storage device that contains all the movies.

Great Product

Very good Product. Good coverage across the home. I bought this router primarily due to USB ports so that a hard-disk and printer can be attached and shared within the network. Both feature works great.
Pros:
  • Easy To Set Up
  • Fast
  • Highly Compatible
  • Secure
Cons:
  • Bulky

The TP-Link TL-WDR3600 has provided months of faultless operation

"=== Initial Impressions === I use this router on my 77mbit fibre connection and it doesn't miss a beat, it looks great but it does attract dust! It's very unassuming and just sits there doing its job, just set and forget.
Pros:
  • Dual Band WiFi
Cons:
  • None that I have found

Surprised at price.

Virgin Media customer with Superhub2 suffering from connection drop outs on both wifi and LAN whenever the Superhub is in router mode. Quickly realised that enabling modem mode and attaching a standalone router cured the issues, however the old D-Link DIR615 i was using didn't have Gigabit LAN ports...
Pros:
  • excellent connection without nasty dropouts
  • needs better description of all setting and a manual in box
