TP-Link AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE450)

The TP-Link AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE450) is an excellent choice if you're looking to extend the reach of your wireless network. It offers solid close-proximity throughput, and performed wonderfully on our range tests. Moreover, it's a cinch to install.

Easy setup; Very good throughput and range performance in testing

Bulky; No pass-through outlet

Only for well connected areas

All in all it's a beautiful sleek design. However the antenna are just not strong enough. I was trying to extend and strengthen a weak signal, for this purpose the device does not work very well. However, i'd imagine extending a strong signal would be less fraught with complications.

Compact; Easy To Set Up

Limited Configuration

So Far they are working great!

So far it is working great. I am using 2 of the TP-Link RE 450 in 2 different houses. Both are working well. We installed in December 2017. Very easy to install. Only downside is that it is big. We had one in our dining room and had to move it because people bumped into it.

Easy to install

Works flawlessy with no negative issues

Very easy setup, just follow the directions. I'm using it at a very remote home away from home and there are electrical blackouts here almost daily. But once the wi-fi signal is back up, the range extender always casts the signal and I have not had to reset it once in over 20 days.

TP-LINK AC1750 Wi-Fi Dual Band Plug In Range Extender - White (RE450)

Super easy set up. Ethernet port comes in super handy. It is a little larger than I would like but ir definitely gives enough room to work with in a regular outlet. Speeds are great! I am using it with a TP link router and they linked perfectly.

Average product.

The TP-Link AC 1750 I purchased was hard to install. I have 2 wi fi set up: one for 2.4 GHz and 1 for 5GHz. I could not be able to set up 2.4 and 5 at the same time. It accepts only either 2.4 or 5. After trying several time I gave up and set up only one wi fi extender 5 Ghz.

Display Screen; Quiet

hard to figure out

set this up with a friend who knows a lot about these things. my previous extender was the dlink 1520. reading the reviews I expected this thing to have twice the range or more. I set it in the same spot the dlink was and it says no reception (the orange light stays on) I move it very close to the...

As Described

I've been using this for a few weeks now, and it works exactly as it's supposed to, despite what others might say. However you WILL need to UPDATE it first. The instructions on the website, are quite clear on how to do this, just follow them step by step.

Excellent value, works well on limits of its range

Set-up is very easy but I recommend you use the web-based admin process rather than just pressing buttons on the device - if you do the latter, it names the extended networks after the original network, so it's hard to know what you're connecting to.
