It's a simple and easy installation procedure

It's a simple and easy installation procedure. Make sure you do not give the extender the same name as the original WiFi.

Absolutely amazing

I can honestly say this is the best product ever. I recently got a cheap one online and it messed up every device in the house. Then I came along this one even though it is a little pricey it's a life saver as my bedroom is s dead spot for signal.

So far so good. Extends the range of my wifi. I get a bit of drop on speed, but it's not where I can't use my wifi. Still have high speeds for what I need. Very easy to install, instructions are perfect. I didn't update the firmware and it's running just fine.

Easy to set up and use

This wifi extender is easy to set up via the very clear written instructions and easy to use. Set up begins next to your router and then the unit is placed in a location mid-way between the router and area experiencing lack of coverage. That's it!

It did what I wanted

I needed to connect a kitchen order printer to the point of sale equipment at the front of the store. The printer only had Ethernet capability and running a cable was not a good option. This connected to the router and pos at the store front and allows the printer to work great.

TP-LINK RE305 WiFi Range Extender - AC 1200, Dual-band

Worked straight out of the box with minimum configuration; I need this for 5 ghz band only; So far, so good

Slightly pricey for what it is; Should ideally be around ten pounds cheaper as I would have bought two

Not really recommended

Based on 2 month's usage, I collected a list of problems encountered: 1. Randomly jump to other frequency channel other than what is configured. 2. Lose access to tplinkrepeat.net (its control pannel) after a period. 3. 2G/5G signal both randomly disappear, especially under heavy load.

Performance And Value

My router is located at one end of the house. With this halfway down the hall I can now use wireless devices all the way out to the property line behind the house. It was easy to set up and works better than expected.
