The Suunto Ambit 3 Run is big, bombproof, and very configurable, and if you're looking for a 'serious' running watch then this should be near the top of the list, along with Garmin and Polar units.

Nice, clean, clear and easy to read display. The pre-programmed... programs! will suit most folks, but very easy to make your own using a combination of the desktop app with the website. One handy feature, for me, was the ability to lock the screen so i don't accidentally turn off tracking.

Very satisfied with this order, nice watch, easy to operate, perfectly connect with android phones(samsung). The GPS is accurate in outdoor, but not easy to get signal in the room.

I am a previous user of Garmin products (Forerunner 210), but made the switch to Suunto based on reviews and value for the money (although almost $600 for this unit is still pricey).

I bought the watch to use for triathlon training but I tend to use it primarily for running and cycling. On occasion I use it for indoor training (functional fitness or climbing) with the heart rate monitor and it serves as a great log for heart rate training.

Buyer beware! This is advertised as the heart rate monitor version on the ambit 3 sport. After receiving my initial purchase there was no HR monitor. I called zappos to report this issue and another was immediately sent out. Again, the second watch was missing the hr monitor!
