The SteelSeries Siberia V2 headsets have been on the market since 2011. We met up with the company at PAX Prime 2013, and finally were able to talk to someone about reviewing their produce. So alas, we got some intimate time the Siberia V2 Cross Platform Headset (phew, that's quite the name).

What you get when you buy these sets is precise positioning of the audio and accurate aural feedback. That's what a pro-gamer really needs and that's what these sets provide. Be sure to bear that in mind when you go headset hunting.

A very good set of gaming headphones that are geared towards gamers who like bass-heavy sounds. Certain types of music will sound great on them but those looking for a more pure sounding headphone should look elsewhere.

One of the problems we had with the Turtle Beach headset we reviewed a few weeks ago was despite the fact it's a quality headset the multi-functional persona did mean that for PC users looking to enjoy the experience they had to suffer with a 14ft+ cable next to their desk!

The Siberia v2 series forms SteelSeries's line of closed, passive noise-cancelling headsets. The stock headset is available in a multitude of colours from the Danish peripheral vendor, but for gamers who want something slightly different, the heat orange edition is designed to fill that niche.

SteelSeries is best known for its innovative and all-round great gaming peripherals, but this brand is often an afterthought when it comes to headsets. Not anymore.
