SteelSeries' latest headset is a major improvement to the 2004 predecessor.
Based on the award-winning SteelSeries Siberia Full-size Headset, the v2 features major enhancements in sound quality, comfort and its microphone. Every element of the v2 has been optimized for pro gaming, making the headset a ...
Of all the evils that have befallen the the idea of good, mobile music quality, Dr Dre and his ‘Beats' headphones are arguably the worst. Too often these days we're seeing the wildly bass-heavy influence of the Beats range in all headphones, but – thankfully – the Siberia V2s resist the urge.
What you get when you buy these sets is precise positioning of the audio and accurate aural feedback. That's what a pro-gamer really needs and that's what these sets provide. Be sure to bear that in mind when you go headset hunting.
Excellent positioning; Well-built; USB sound card in-built
Distinct lack of bass; No 3.5mm jack; very expensive
A very good set of gaming headphones that are geared towards gamers who like bass-heavy sounds. Certain types of music will sound great on them but those looking for a more pure sounding headphone should look elsewhere.

The Siberia v2 series forms SteelSeries's line of closed, passive noise-cancelling headsets. The stock headset is available in a multitude of colours from the Danish peripheral vendor, but for gamers who want something slightly different, the heat orange edition is designed to fill that niche.
Comfortable headset design and good microphone placement; Orange illumination that stands out
USB only connector limits use to PCs; Stock cable seems a bit short
SteelSeries is best known for its innovative and all-round great gaming peripherals, but this brand is often an afterthought when it comes to headsets. Not anymore.
Good value for price; comfortable; great quality mic; great audio quality for gaming
A little large to wear out and about
