SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC wired gaming headset review

The SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC sets a new standard for wired gaming headsets. Not only is it extremely well-designed and comfortable, but as far as audio quality goes, it sits above the rest. For audiophiles, anyway. There's also a wireless version of the headset.

Steelseries Arctis Pro + GameDAC review

There's no question the Arctis Pro sounds great - and not just "sounds great for a gaming headset", either. The 'phones themselves produced a balanced sound with real clarity, instead of the bass-centric mush we've come to expect from most gamer-geared cans. The GameDAC is a handy way to get your music under control without having to dig into the software every time you want to make a tweak, and the built-in DAC is a genuine step up from integrated audio, too. Does it do enough to justify the cost, though? That depends if you have 24-bit tracks or a Tidal subscription to feed it with high quality audio. If you're truly serious about sound, you'd still want a pair of headphones for listening and a separate headset for games. For one pair that does both things very well, though, this certainly hits the spot.

Great sound quality for music and film, as well as games; External DAC a step up from integrated audio; Comfy fit;

LED lights are a bit lairy; Expensive;

now to think how i am going to tell my boss that i will not be c

alright , so i brought a ASTRO A10 headset last year and it what iv been using but i felt like my gaming experience could be more immersive ,so i did some research into how to improve my audio with a friend and we both decided to get the SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Headset . the box arrived about 10 mins ago so its quick set up . first thing i did was play some music on hi-res … the audio is so good that i find my self getting tingles and getting lost in the sound . the experience kinda just makes me smile and giggle like iv just walked out of a room at a party followed by a girl to then be meet by all my older friends congratulating me on loosing my virginity

Great stuff - Pricey but worth it

So let me set the scene for you: You've got the headset brand new in your hands, you open it up, everything is meticulously packaged and labelled to the point where it's impossible to get confused where everything goes, you plug in the GameDAC first, which then gives you a jolly greeting and introduction to all the features including the famed Hi-Res Audio which sounds GORGEOUS, although at the moment the feature is criminally underutilized by games and other software (this will change in near future). The headset itself is also very comfortable and feels durable. No wireless is a bummer but understandable with the tech involved and the price is quite steep. Those are the only negatives to be found. SteelSeries did not mess around with this thing, but also found a way to maintain a very casual vibe that is infectious. I never write reviews about products I buy like this, but this one was so good, I felt I needed to do it justice.

Excellent Headset

Very easy to use and setup the sound quality is amazing and footsteps are easily heard when playing FPS and third person games. Just listening to music to high res is awesome

Not worth $350 to quite only for small heads no help and where t

PROS: RGB gives me more fps Best mic ever but way to sensitive can hear me talking from 15 foot away and no way to turn down sensitivity HI-REZ is ok but not going to justifie $350 CONS: RGB on a headset pointless Only for small heads you can not extend the band to fit big heads only losen the band to position the earcups on ears thats about it Took 5 days to get EQ setting so I can hear foot steps in one game when my HYPER X CLOUD II could clearly help me hear footsteps on many games csgo pubg ROE escape from tarkov Mic to sensitive and picks up every thing Ear cup clamping force for bigger heads it way to much causes ear tips to feel pain and the inner foam padding in earcup is not enuf causes pain there to Cord length from dac to pc is way to short its like 2 or 3 foot max needs to be 3m minimum IMO And my biggest problem with this $350 headset is my $140 HYPER X CLOUD II are louder and not by a little bit ether I mean like 35/50% louder to sum it up save your money and get a better headset because if you get this you will be needing to setup individual EQ profiles for every game and that could take up to 30 min or so if you know what your doing or even longer if you dont know how to set up EQ profiles the default EQ settings are shit to put it nicely /shit padding in earcups / volume is to quite /short cords /days of setting up EQ profiles for games cos every games is different/ to sensitive mic/ headset has very little adjustments for head sizes only small heads will fit well (JUST NOT WORTH THE HASSLE OR THE $35O)
