The sound quality is out of this world, both for music and with the microphone. People said I sounded like a radio broadcaster with this mic. However, I found the cloth strap (underneath the hard plastic connector between ears), to be annoying.
If your budget doesn't stretch that extra $50 for the wireless version, you won't find a more complete package for 250 bucks.
We were quite enamoured with the Arctis 3 Bluetooth headset we reviewed last month (you can read more about that here ), but since then SteelSeries has sent us an upgrade to take a closer look at.
Normally you can kind of see a product coming simply because there is a big hole in the market. But These headsets came as a surprise to me when they were announced. My search for the perfect gaming headset has been long and exhausting. I've made stops at a few of the better-known hotspots, like Astro and Sennheiser, but something was always missing. With Astro, the mic always fell a bit short.
The headset was creaking when i got it, but I assumed it was normal, Then the right ear cut out after 5 months. When I requested an rma, they had me cut off the left ear, then send them a picture with the headphones in two pieces.
