Worked right out the box with my Linux MInt 18 DE. Perfect if you somehow lose your audio after dumping windows for Linux.

About as good as my onboard sound which I had 'lost' so that's a big plus

It does what I hoped it would do. It's too fat to plug in where you'd want to plug another USB device alongside, but it comes with a plug-in cable.

I have a few pretty good 1/8 jack microphones and discovered that their connector ring pattern is not compatible with the pattern on the combo input/output audio jacks on new computers. The USB adapter card/connector is a complete solution. It travels with me wherever those mics go.

This puppy uses the C-Media CM108 audio controller. I bought it to use in my Kubuntu Linux system. Works great, no problems, no drivers needed.

If any of your laptop/PC built-in sound card is dead, this will be great replacement. For a PC, it will not occupy any precious PCI/PCI-E slot. Highly recommended.

Simply plug and play. No headaches or problems are involved. The sound is clear and stable. You can tell that the casing won't take much abuse, but they made up for it by including a short usb cable that allows for flexibility in the installation.

Do not bother. MONO input - terrible recording quality.

Upgrade your pc headphone outlet for very little money. Great sound quality. I bought the stereo version but there are 5.1 and 7.1 versions if you can put up with the clutter of all the speakers
