Game Review: Star Wars Battlefront II

I thought 2014's Battlefront was a fantastic game, and compared to most AAA first-person shooters, it was a lot more approachable for people who don't necessarily play a lot of competitive shooters. For most parts of it, it was as simple as point and shoot.

Approachable and Fun Multiplayer; Space Battles; A Good Amount of Content At Launch; Great Performances; Fantastic Visuals and Audio; Playing as Solo and Lando in Campaign

Confusing Progression System; Random Nature of Unlocks; Inconsequential Main Story; Lacking Mission Structure

Brilliant purchase

I pre ordered this for my husband who is obsessed with star wars. He absolutely loves the game just as much as the first one. Came on the date it was released so perfect delivery timing.

great purchase!

I pre-ordered this a few days before release date and it came that morning. Great game and have had hours of fun with both online and single player modes. Would highly recommend

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Review - The Progression System Tries to Bring You Over to the Dark Side

It's been 2 years since EA's first Star Wars Battlefront and in that time they've promised across the board improvements to the criticisms to that title. More content, space battles and a single player campaign top out that list.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 review

And it's there, and in numerous other places in what's a relatively broad package, that you reconnect with the sense of wonder that's at the heart of this series. Star Wars Battlefront 2, for all its faults, remains a game that can get to the kernel of what makes the series so beloved.

It's a game

It's a shooty, light saber waving, blowey up stuff game. Too complicated, with too many controls for anyone over the age of 15 but really good for people younger than that who have the mental capacity and dexterity to press 70 different combinations of buttons per second.

You get to fly an X wing

If you played the first one you should know what to expect. But this time you get a campaign which is, surprisingly, quite good. Excellent graphics, easy to get used to gameplay and very enjoyable. And at the end of the day, it's Star Wars. What not to like.

I love this game

First of all, form your own opinions on the game, don't just read tons of reviews. Now that being said, I love this game. So far I have played 40 hours and not during 1 hour did I feel this game was pay-to-win as many many people are saying online.

Star Wars Battlefront II Xbox One review: A potential blockbuster poisoned by the Dark Side

Publishers are pushing micropayments into our premium games harder than ever before, and Battlefront II might be the most egregious of the lot. The multiplayer progression is wrapped up in a system you can buy into, rewarding players with more powerful abilities depending on how much cash you...

Stunning; authentic Star Wars visuals; Tight multiplayer gameplay; Epic space combat

Stale story campaign; Unclear whether pay-to-win mechanics will return; Progression designed to maximize premium currency purchases
