Great game for a 3d fighter. Interesting mix in with 2d fighter controls. Has been a consistently fun and well made series, and this game continues that. Finally a well made character creation system can lead to a whole lot more fun. Great product.

i love soul caliber but i gotta admit i hate how they have soooooo many new characters but does not have their own stories, where'd they came from? Where in the hell is Talim?! I wished they kept the old characters as well as add in the new ones. What's wrong with keeping both?!
This game is a bad game. It is fundamentally broken. Its story mode makes no sense. It lacks all of the features that make a Soul Calibur game, a Soul Calibur game.

New Critical and Brave Edge attacks work well; Some great online options - especially Rival designation; Captures the spectacle of balletic fighting superbly
Fewer; less interesting characters; A drought of unlockables; Where's the single player content gone
SoulCalibur arrived in 1999 on the Dreamcast and became an immediate sensation. Peerless and arcade perfect, the renamed Soul Blade certainly forged a deep enough gouge in the fighting genre to warrant a new benchmark for beat-em-ups, and made sure the Millennium ended on a high note.
Excellent multiplayer; Combo depth for fans whilst playable by complete newcomers
Single player is lacking on modes; No tutorial mode of any kind
Last year's Mortal Kombat set a new standard for games in the fighting genre , particularly with its story mode. Other games have certainly made attempts at something a little more deep than the typical arcade style story you'd normally find, but Mortal Kombat's story really does put other fighting...
Visually impressive; Excellent online support; Story mode enjoyable; if not the best on the market; Good additions to combat system

Welcome back to the stage of history, a time when combat was civilised and men, women and monsters fought each other with swords and sticks, not their bare fists. With this new instalment, developers Project Soul have done much with SoulCalibur V ? -? available now for PS3 and Xbox 360 -? to ensure...
SoulCalibur V is the latest installment to the popular fighting series, and it certainly has been a while since we've seen it last. The game is back though, and has taken a big leap into the future.
