Sony Xperia S
Smart, stylish and specified to the eyeballs, Sony's Xperia S is a serious rival to the iPhone 4S

I'm using this for the last 1 day and I'm highly satisfied with this phone. My only worry was battery - as expected its life when I combinedly use Wi-fi, 3G, Google maps, music, calls and text, skype, FB - the battery is lasting for atleast 20 hours.

Sony Xperia S
Almost every smartphone review seems to begin "for those who don't want an iPhone…" – the Sony Xperia S is different, requiring no excuses when compared with Apple's overlord of mobiles.

everything the sales pitch says and what all the specs say is true, its unbelievably fast, takes great photo's and videos and you would think the pictures and videos would be blurred but there not its a great phone

I spent two full days researching phone reviews/prices etc as I wanted to upgrade my old Wildfire (which has served me well for almost two years and is still going strong). I was looking for a mid-range phone and had shortlisted the Experia u, Desire x, Windows 8s and the Galaxy Ace 2.

I just recently purchased this 4.0 Android phone and I highly recommend it to other users.

- large clear screen - 12.1 megapixel camera - very responsive to touch - HD screen
Cons:
- - slighlty heaver than most androids - quite big to fit in your pocket

Amazing Phone
this phone is amazing... it's design is brilliant. It's pretty substantial in the hand, and also a fair bit fatter with a curved back that makes it easier to hold it in one hand. it has both HDMI and USB ports, and you'll find a power button and the 3.5mm headphone jack whilst the right hand side...

Xperia S came with Android Gingerbread out of the box. It made me a little apprehensive due to the fact that competitors were out with Ice Cream Sandwich already. The S was not really native to Gingerbread.

Excellent phone
As an unexpected bonus, the wired headset that comes with the phone is excellent. The audio quality for voice and music blows away my cheapish Klipsch earbuds. To get the full 12 megapixels, the camera takes pictures in 4:3. If you want 16:9 photo ratios, the photos are 9 megapixel.
Pros:
- At the top of this list is the display
- This is easily the best display I have seen on any device
- It's bright, incredibly sharp and vibrant, and even performs very well in direct sunlight
- Speed is another plus
- Applications open immediately, they install or uninstall with absurd speed.
Cons:
- The function buttons on the bottom take a little bit to get used to - they are touch only, no physical operation
- Nice when you're used to them
- The JPG compression is a little more lossy than I would like, but it's so high resolution that it doesn't matter for most situations.
